It signifies a light that is endless.(amar =timeless ,jyoti =light).This flame keeps on burning the 365 days of the year continuously for paying tribute to all the innocent people who lost their lives in this massacre.
Martyrs well :
Popularly known as shahidi kuan in hindi, people in order to prevent the bullet firing from Britishers preferred to jump in this well and lost their lives.Tt is said that the well was full of dead bodies stacked over each other.
Bullet marks :
Bullet marks can be seen clearly in the Jallianwala Bagh premises which have now been preserved and covered with glass.The view of bullet marks would take you to the memories back in April 1919.These bullets were fired heavily on a peaceful gathering in Jallianwala Bagh.
Light and sound show :
It was inaugurated in 2010 by former defence minister A.K Antony and voice has been given by superstar Amitabh bachchan.It is a 52 minute show recorded by a Gurgaon based company.Being a part of this light and sound show seems a delight to watch.The total history of events related to Jallianwala Bagh is explained with effects.
